      Hi Emily,

      as you get older, your taste buds don’t necessarily change, but we do get less of them. Children may have 30,000 or so while adults only have 10,000. We think this is why children aren’t always keen on strong flavours like herbs and spices, whereas adults will often eat very strong flavoured foods, or add more salt to their food to ‘enhance’ the flavour.
