• Question: if u have less sleep will it effect u later in life if so how?

      Freddie, this is an excellent question.

      I don’t know the answer without looking up the evidence but I would guess that, as a child, you need more sleep to help your body repair and grow properly. If you had serious sleep deprivation it might interfere with your physiology and not allow you to grow properly.

      Less sleep would also result in poorer concentration during school and perhaps poorer achievement which could affect you later in life.

      Hi Freddie,
      Having less sleep is a serious problem. I can initially cause lack of concentration, moodiness and they can all affect your performance at school, work, and your relationships. More seriously, lack of sleep has been linked to several phychological problems, including depression.

      I also wanted to add that also trying to catch up with sleep is very bad. It is called social jet-leg and is as bad as not sleeping enough.
