      Hi Sevi and FJP,
      The classic diseases of old age are ones such as cancer, dementia and heart disease. The average age that you get these is different. Heart disease tends to be earlier because of lifestyle – it’s really sped up by being overweight, lacking exercise, drinking alcohol and smoking. In an unhealthy person, heart disease can develop around 60 years of age. If you look after yourself and stay healthy though, then its really after the age of 70-75 that you see more and more people start developing these diseases.
