• Question: Thanks for asking my previous question about my swimming. It's all very interesting. I was wondering about how you said physiology had lead you to understand the appropriate training intensity for athletes. Do you mean how frequently the athlete trains or whether they train more aerobicly (that's now a word) or anerobicly? Anyway, how do you find this sort of stuff out? Is it all to do with recovery or lactate, or something else? Thanks in advance! :D

      Yes its about training the correct energy systems (Aerobic and anaerobic or with oxygen without oxygen). Yes lactate acid begins to rise at the point you move from aerobic to anaerobic. The heart rate at this point is the individuals anaerobic threshold 🙂
