      Hi!

      There are a couple different kinds of arthritis, but the main one is osteoarthritis which is caused when cartilage, like a springy cushion, between bones in the joints begins to wear away. This doesn’t happen suddenly so you tend to see it in older people, where the joints (and the cartilage) have been under pressure for many years.
