• Question: Could you possibly stop diseases?

      Hey Sevi,

      Yes, I think we can stop some diseases. We already know that if everybody stopped smoking we’d pretty much cut the number of cases of lung cancer down to very low numbers, for example. Others we know what causes them, and can try to stop that happening, either by vaccination (we used to get a disease called small pox, but thanks to vaccination the world is smallpox free. Its a similar story with a disease called polio, which is almost gone), or by giving medicines that we think could stop the disease in the first place.
