Not any more, I find them fascinating and quickly forget where they came from, although I remember my first dissection as part of an A-level class – we had kidneys to cut up and they smelt pretty bad, which wasn’t pleasant. Went home and my Mum had made steak and kidney pie for tea. Needless to say I wasn’t that hungry!

The only thing which makes me squeam is when someone asks me to hold their false teeth!! REALLY.. this does happen when working with older folks.

Yes! I am really squeamish, which is why I never had any interest in becoming a doctor or a nurse. I really don’t like looking at (or even hearing about!) gross injuries. I can’t even watch when I have blood taken. This is pretty funny since I actually work with blood- I get 50ml samples from people which is a fair amount (see my photos on my profile!). For some reason it doesn’t bother me once it’s in a tube though.

      Hello 🙂

I only had to work with animals… but again, I had to dissect at lot of different animals (even a cougar!). It never bothered me too much, although sometimes the smell was a bit gross.
