      Well if we had never discovered cells, it would have changed human history! Understanding that living organisms (other than viruses) are made of cells is central to a lot of what we know. Knowing about cells is important for inventing drugs (which target specific parts of cellular machinery) or vaccines (trying to coax different responses from different cells).

      I have always found cell biology much more interesting than molecular biology or chemistry because it deals with things at a level that is a little easier to understand… you can see cells pretty easily down a microscope if you want to!
