  Sometimes even if a person has the signs of a disease, we don’t know why and how he/she got sick. Doctors call the disease “idiopathic”.
  My job is to find new genes that can be related to a disease, understand how those genes work and eventually look in patients with that specific disease if they have a mutation in the same gene.
  So I guess that the answer to your question is it will give them an answer to the question why am I sick.
