That’s a great question, and one that’s very hard to answer. Things like Ebola kill a lot of the people they infect. Or meningitis, which can kill people really quickly.
The disease which has killed the most people in the whole of human history, though is probably influenza. In 1918-1919, a global outbreak of Spanish flu killed 50-100 million people, more than died in four years of the bubonic plague (Black Death) and about the same number as the number of people killed in wars in the whole 20th century!
