• Question: who inspired you to become a scientist and why?

      My biggest inspiration in science would have to be my mentors that have helped me to get this far. Prof. Phil Jakeman who supervised by PhD, Dr. Mike Lynch who supervised my BSc Physical Therapy and Prof. Mark Johnson who I currently work with at Leeds Beckett University. All three have certain characteristics in common. They all have a very high work ethic, are very passionate about their subject area, are very knowledgeable and curious to find out more and also enjoy sport or were previously competitive athletes themselves.
