Almost nothing lives forever – eventually we use parts of our body so much that something begins to wear our, despite our remarkable capacity to repair ourselves (we already keep manage to keep a body containing around 30,000,000,000,000 cells going for 80 years, which is some feat). I said almost nothing lives forever – apparently the sea anemone can live for ever, by constantly re-growing and replacing body parts. It only dies if its poisoned or eaten.
