Hi Cheese. We have about 206 bones as an adult (a few more when we’re born, but they fuse together as we grow). They all do something., either keeping us upright, protecting our heart and lungs, and helping us to move and be flexible. The parts of our body with the most bones, wrists, hands and feet, are the ones that move in the most directions. Imagine if your finger was one solid bone – you’d never be able to pick anything up!
