      This is a brilliant question. A few explanations have been suggested for this difference. Recently differences in DNA structure have been discovered. DNA is what makes up your genes. At the end of DNA there is a thing called a telomere, the older you are, the shorter telomeres become. There is evidence that men start out with shorter telomeres. It’s a bit more complicated than that but maybe its the start of an answer to your question.
